Carlisle is a city in Warren and Polk counties in the U.S. state of Iowa. The population was 3,876 at the 2010 census. The city is part of the Des Moines?West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area.The city received considerable media attention in 1997 when Carlisle residents Kenny and Bobbi McCaughey became the parents of the world's first surviving set of septuplets.
